Maryville, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team dropped a tight match at #19 Northwest Missouri on Saturday 5-4. With the loss, SBU falls to 10-6 (3-2 MIAA) on the season.
Southwest Baptist opened up play by taking two of three doubles matches, with victories coming from the doubles teams of
Kristof Kinal/
Sherif Abohabaga and
Chris Blodig/
Torben Semrau. SBU then picked up singles victories from Abohabaga and Blodig, but it wasn't enough as SBU fell 5-4.
The Bearcats will return to action on Monday, April 13 when they host William Jewell in the final regular season home contest. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
