Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team had no problems picking up their fifth MIAA win of the season as they took down Washburn 7-2 on Monday afternoon. With the victory, SBU improves to 15-1 (5-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats started things off by taking two of three doubles matches, with
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai and
Maria Josie Zehnder/
Lani Tuemmers both claiming victories. SBU then took all five singles matches that were played, defaulting a victory at #6 singles, to claim the 7-2 win.
SBU will return to action on Friday, April 3 when they travel to Lincoln. Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Jefferson City, Missouri.
