Wichita, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team improved to 7-2 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Newman on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bearcats took two out of the three doubles matches, with victories coming from Chris Blodig/Torben Semrau and Yannick Doering/Alex Belote before claiming three of the four completed singles matches to seal the victory. Singles victories came from Sherif Abohabaga, Yannick Doering, and Alex Belote.

SBU will return home on Wednesday, March 25 when they host Southeastern Oklahoma State. Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
