Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis fell suffered their first loss of the season at #21 Northeastern State on Sunday, 8-1. With the loss, SBU drops to 9-1 (1-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats, playing a modified order, were only able to pick up one victory on the day with
Fanni Varga defeating the #17 player in the NCAA in straight sets. However, SBU fell in all three doubles matches and the four other singles matches played as they lost 8-1.
SBU will return to action on Monday, March 23 when they travel to Central Oklahoma as they continue a string of six matches in seven days. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from Edmond, Oklahoma.
