SBU Women's Basketball Hosts Northwest Missouri in Final Home Contest

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will return home on Thursday to host Northwest Missouri in the final regular season contest of the 2014-15 season.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Michael Smith begins his 2nd season as the head coach at Northwest Missouri. Prior to arriving at NWMSU, Smith spent the previous 5 years coaching at former MIAA school Truman State.

Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 32-23. Northwest Missouri claimed a 66-64 victory earlier this season in Maryville.

Scouting Southwest Baptist
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 72-55 loss at Central Missouri, and are now 8-17 (3-14 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Dilonna Johnson who averages 11.5 ppg and a team high 3.4 apg, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 8.9 points per game off of the bench. Leann Terrill also averages 9.3 ppg while Sarah Magana averages 4.3 ppg and a team high 4.2 rpg.

Scouting Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri enters the game against Southwest Baptist with a 8-18 (4-13 MIAA) record on the season. The Bearcats are coming off of a 73-65 loss, and have dropped their last three. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Ariel Easton who averages 16.0 ppg and 5.6 rpg. Tember Schechinger is also in double-figures, averaging 10.0 ppg.
