Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up two regional victories on Friday in Arkadelphia, defeating Tarleton State 5-2 and Ouachita Baptist 9-0. With the victories, the Bearcats improve to 3-0 on the season.

In SBU's 5-2 win over Tarleton State, the Bearcats started things off with doubles victories from Fanni Varga/Christina Zentai and Lani Tuemmers/Maria Josie Zehnder to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles play. In singles action, Varga, Zentai, and Zehnder all picked up wins to give SBU a 5-2 victory. In the second match of the day, the Bearcats had no trouble with Ouachita Baptist, winning each match in straight sets.

The Bearcats will return to the court on Saturday, February 14 when they take on Henderson State. Play is set to begin at 8:00 a.m. from Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
