SBU Men's Basketball to Host Lincoln on Saturday for Senior Day

Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats return home on Saturday to host Lincoln on Senior Day at the Meyer Sports Center.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his first season on the SBU bench after coming to the Bearcats from John Brown University. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 182-106 across nine seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

John Moseley enters into his first year as the head coach at Lincoln. Moseley joins the Blue Tigers after spending the past four year at North Carolina Central University, including the last three year's as the associate head coach.

The Bearcats lead the all-time series against the Blue Tigers 26-17. Southwest Baptist claimed a 69-50 victory earlier this season in Jefferson City.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of 96-43 loss at Lindenwood, and are now 9-14 (4-10 MIAA) on the season. Southwest Baptist is led in scoring by Menas Stephens who averages a double-double at 11.8 points per game and an MIAA high 10.4 rebounds per game. Daymond Cowlah also averages 10.1 points per game to go along with 2.6 assists per game, while Derrick Stewart averages 7.9 points per game, Finn Delany averages 7.4 points per game, Quniton Smith averages 7.3 points per game, and Robert Shaw averages 6.1 points per game.

Scouting the Blue Tigers
Lincoln enters into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 4-20 (1-14 MIAA) record on the season. The Blue Tigers are coming off of a 67-47 loss to Central Missouri, and have dropped 14 in a row.LU is led in scoring by Joshua Buie who is averaging 16.9 ppg and 4.1 apg. Mike Smith is also in double figures at 13.2 ppg and a team high 4.4 rpg, while Victor Scott averages 10.1 ppg.
