Box Score St. Charles, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's basketball team fell at the hands of Lindenwood 93-46 on Wednesday evening. With the loss, SBU falls to 9-14 (4-10 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Lions exchanged leads for the first four minutes of the game, as SBU held a 7-6 lead off of a
Quinton Smith three-pointer with 16:30 left in the half. From that point forward Lindenwood started to build their lead as the Bearcats went into the break trailing 49-19, as they eventually fell 93-46.
Daymond Cowlah had a team high 11 points, while
Quinton Smith added 8 points and
Menas Stephens had 7 points and 8 rebounds. As a team SBU shot 31.3% from the field, 14.3% from beyond the arc, and 63.6% from the free throw line.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, February 14 when they host the Blue Tigers of Lincoln. Tip-off for senior day is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
