SBU Women's Basketball Opens up New Year Hosting Missouri S&T

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist steps out of MIAA action when they host Missouri S&T to open up the new year.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Alan Eads is in his 11th season as the head coach at Missouri S&T. Eads is the all-time winningest coach at S&T, compling a career record of 144-133.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Missouri S&T 30-25. SBU claimed an 81-78 victory last season, and have won 16 straight against the Miners.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a huge 82-71 victory over #1 Fort Hays State, and now improve to 6-4 (2-3 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Caylee Richardson who is averaging just short of a double-double at 13.0 ppg and 9.3 rpg. Megan Rosenbohm is also in double-figures, averaging 11.7 ppg. Dilonna Johnson is averaging 10.1 ppg and a team high 3.5 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 9.3 ppg and 4.2 rpg.

Scouting the Miners
Missouri S&T is coming off of a 67-64 victory over Harris-Stowe and are now 5-4 (1-2 GLVC) enters the contest against Southwest Baptist. MST is led in scoring by Bria Pierce who averages 10.5 ppg, while Raetchel Gray is also in double-figures at 10.0 ppg. Jamy Douvier is the top rebounder for the Miners, pulling down 7.4 rpg to go along with 9.1 ppg.
