Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home to close out the 2015 calendar year with a pair of home games, starting with Fort Hays State on Saturday.

SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his second season on the SBU bench after coming off of a 11-18 (6-13 MIAA) record last season. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 193-119 across ten seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Mark Johnson begins his 15th season as the head coach at Fort Hays State. Johnson holds a career coaching record of 284-127 and is the all-time coaching wins leader in FHSU history.

The series between Southwest Baptist and Fort Hays State is tied 8-8. The Bearcats claimed a 72-70 victory over the Tigers in Hays last season.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of a 59-57 road loss to Washburn, and are now 6-3 (2-2 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Brian Patterson who averages 15.9 ppg and 6.9 rpg, while Logan Hovey averages a double-double at 14.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg. Scouting the Tigers
Fort Hays enters the contest against Southwest Baptist 8-2 (2-2 MIAA) on the season. The Tigers are coming off of a 69-68 road win over #15 Central Missouri and have won three straight. FHSU is led in scoring and rebounding by Dom Samac who averages 17.7 ppg and 7.0 rpg.
