Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist is set to host Williams Baptist in the final non-conference game on Monday evening before entering into conference action later this week.
The Coaches & All-Time SeriesSBU head coach
Clark Sheehy begins his second season on the SBU bench after coming off of a 11-18 (6-13 MIAA) record last season. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 193-119 across ten seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.
Josh Austin begins his 5th season as the head coach at Williams Baptist College. Austin holds a career coaching record of 60-55, and has posted back-to-back-to-back winning seasons.
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Williams Baptist 1-0. The Bearcats claimed the only victory between the two schools 104-72 during the 1992-93 season.
Scouting the BearcatsThe Bearcats are coming off of a thrilling 86-85 victory over Central Baptist, and are now 3-1 on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Brian Patteson who averages 17.8 ppg and 7.8 rpg, while
Logan Hovey averages a double-double at 17.5 ppg and a team high 13.0 rpg.
Kai Woodfall averages 9.0 ppg, while

Scouting the EaglesWilliams Baptist comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 3-2 record on the season, coming off of an 84-76 loss at Bethal University. The Eagles are led in scoring by E.J. Rucker who is averaging 15.2 ppg, while Tony Jeffries averages 12.6 ppg and a team high 7.0 rpg. Stanley Malcom is also in double figures, at 10.0 ppg, to go along with a team high 4.0 apg.
