SBU Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Missouri Baptist

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home to open up a four-game homestand after coming off of a thrilling 51-48 road victory over McKendree.

The Coaches & All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her second season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to a 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) record last season. Coach Keizer had spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake. 

Iris Dixon is in her 5th season as the head coach at Missouri Baptist. Dixon spent the past 12 season on the bench at MBU, including 8 as the top assistant.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Missouri Baptist 7-0. The Bearcats claimed a 75-54 meeting the last time these teams met in 2012-13.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 51-48 victory at McKendree, and are now 3-1 on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Caylee Richardson who is averaging just short of a double-double at 15.3 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Dilonna Johnson averages 12.0 ppg, including shooting 55.6% from beyond the arc, while Mackenzie Skupa is averaging 10.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg.

Scouting the Spartans
Missouri Baptist is coming off of a 74-62 victory over Stephens College and are now 2-2 on the season. The Spartans are led in scoring by Jerica Hawkins who averages 15.0 ppg to go along with a team high 9.0 rpg. Taylor Klingelhoefer also averages double-figures at 12.8 ppg while Aaryana Cook averages 8.8 ppg.
