SBU Men's Basketball Continues Homestand Against Central Baptist College

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will continue their 8 game homestand to open up the 2015-16 season by Central Baptist College on Monday.

The Coaches
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his second season on the SBU bench after coming off of a 11-18 (6-13 MIAA) record last season. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 193-119 across ten seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Wes Sullivan begins his 3rd season as the head coach at Central Baptist College. Sullivan holds a career coaching record of 16-38.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of a tough 82-79 loss to #16 Drury and are now 2-1 on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Brian Patteson who averages 17.0 ppg and 9.0 rpg, while Logan Hovey averages a double-double at 13.7 ppg and a team high 12.7 rpg. Kai Woodfall also averages double-figures at 11.0 ppg and Cartier Dean chips in with 7.7 ppg off of the bench.

Scouting the Mustangs
Central Baptist comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 3-2 record on the season, coming off of a 99-85 loss at William Woods. The Mustangs are led in scoring by Fred Albright who averages 15.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg. Jayln McBride also averages double-figures at 11.6 ppg, while Mike Evans averages a team high 6.6 rpg.
