SBU Women's Soccer to Host Lindenwood & #9 Central Missouri This Week

Bolivar, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats return home for a four-game home stand when they host Lindenwood & Central Missouri in the upcoming week.

The Coaches
Megan Link will begin her first season as the head coach at Southwest Baptist after taking over a program which advanced to the NCAA Tournament the past two seasons. Link came to SBU after coaching one season at Quincy. 

Laurie Kaminski enters her 11th season as the head coach at Lindenwood, holding a career coaching record of 92-76-18. 

Lewis Theobald enters his 9th season as the head coach at Central Missouri. Theobald holds a 130-23-17 career record while being named MIAA Coach of the Year 7 of the 8 years while in the league.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist enters the week 6-4 (3-1 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats picked up a pair of victories last week, defeating Northwest Missouri 4-1 and Missouri Western 1-0. SBU is led by Karla Jamison who has scored 9 goals with 2 assists on the season, while Caroline Karlsson has netted 4 goals to go along with 4 assists.

Scouting the Opponents
Lindenwood enters the game against Southwest Baptist with a 1-6-3 (0-3-1 MIAA) record on the season. The Lions played Nebraska-Kearney to a tie their last time out, with three of their last four games going into overtime. Lindenwood is led in scoring by Alexis Robbers with 4 goals. 

Central Missouri enters the week of play with a 9-1 (3-1 MIAA) record on the season after falling to Fort Hays 2-1 on the road. The Jennies have allowed only 4 goals all season. UCM is led in scoring by Julie Ireland who has 9 goals, and Megan Woolley who has 8 goals. In goal, Ana Dilkes has compiled a GAA of 0.31 while also collecting 33 saves
