SBU Volleyball to Play Three MIAA Opponents This Week

Bolivar, Mo. -- The SBU Bearcats are set to play three MIAA contests this week, opening up on the road at Missouri Southern on Tuesday.

The Coaches
Caira Dortch will begin her second season as the head coach at Southwest Baptist, and holds a career coaching record of 10-20 (5-17 MIAA). Prior to coming to SBU, Dortch previously coached at Drury and Evangel.

John Napier enters his 2nd season as the head coach at Missouri Southern. Napier holds a career coaching record of 8-22 (5-17 MIAA).

Jenny Mueller enters her 1st season as the head coach at Pittsburg State. Mueller served the last 3 season as the assistant coach.

Edgar Miraku enters his 4th season as the head coach at Central Oklahoma. He holds a career coaching record of 65-33.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist enters the week with a 2-12 (0-4 MIAA) record on the season. Taryn Marton leads the way offensively for SBU, averaging 2.55 kills/set, while defensviely Hannah Blount averages 4.24 digs/set.

Scouting the Opponents
Missouri Southern comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 1-14 (0-4 MIAA) record on the year. The Lions are led by Bridgette Jaeger (2.27 kills/set), Abby Finer (7.33 assists/set), and Katie Wiele (3.81 digs/set).
