Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell in a heartbreaker to Fort Hays on Saturday afternoon 3-2. With the loss, SBU falls to 3-21 (1-12 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats took set one 25-18 and set two 25-23 to take an early 2-0 lead. However, Fort Hays came back to take sets three and four 25-23 and 25-23 while claiming the final set 15-12.
Payton White led the offensive attack with 18 kills while
Lori Angello had 14 kills and
Kalyn Sotomayor chipped in 12 kills. Anna Stuehem dished out 53 assists, while
Taryn Marton had 22 digs and
Bailey Baumann had 20 digs.
SBU will continue action on Tuesday, November 3 when they host Missouri Southern on Senior Night. Play is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
