Box Score Photo GalleryBolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team took a set from #13 Nebraska-Kearney on Friday evening in Bolivar, but fell 3-1 to the Lopers. After the loss, SBU drops to 3-20 (1-11 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats dropped the first two sets 25-17 and 25-8 before coming back to take set three 25-21. However, the Lopers closed out the win with a 25-10 fourth and final set.
Lori Angello led the SBU attackers with 9 kills while
Kalyn Sotomayor added 8 kills.
Anna Stuehm continues the setting duties for SBU, picking up 26 assists, while
Bailey Baumann added 9 digs.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 31 when they host Fort Hays. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
