Box Score Fayette, Iowa - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell at the hands of Upper Iowa on Sunday afternoon 3-1. With the loss, SBU drops to 0-14 (0-6 MIAA) on the season.
Upper Iowa jumped on the scoreboard first in the 17th minute of play, taking a 1-0 lead, as the Bearcats went into halftime trailing 1-0. UIU added two more goals in the 64th and 81st minutes before the Bearcats were able to get on the scoreboard in the 90th minute of play.
Hunter McRoberts connected on his fourth goal of the season on a penalty kick, but the Bearcats would end up falling 3-1.
SBU will be back in action on Friday, October 30 when they host #24 Fort Hays State. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field.
