SBU Women's Soccer Falls at Northeastern State 8-1

Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell at Northeastern State 8-1 on Friday evening in a non-conference match-up. With the loss SBU drops to 8-7 on the season.

The RiverHawks jumped ahead early in the contest, netting two goals in the first eight minutes of the contest. NSU would scored four goals in the first period, as SBU trailed 4-0 at the half. In the second half NSU added four more goals, taking an 8-0 lead, before the Bearcats were able to find the back of the net. Off of a deflected ball, Brooke Herald shot the ball over the keeper's head from the top of the box to put the Bearcats on the board. However, in the end Southwest Baptist would fall to Northeastern State 8-1.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, October 25 when they return to MIAA action by facing off against Central Oklahoma. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Edmond, Oklahoma.
