Box Score Kansas City, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist Unviersity women's soccer team fell in a make-up contest against Emporia State on Tuesday afternoon 2-0. With the loss, SBU falls to 8-6 (5-3 MIAA) on the season.
In a game that saw a strong cross-wind, the Bearcats and Hornets remained scoreless through the first half despite SBU outshooting ESU 13-3. ESU broke the tie in the second half in the 63rd minute, and added another goal in the 80th minute. Southwest Baptist outshot Emporia State 20-16 on the afternoon, but SBU fell 2-0 in the contest.
The Bearcats will hit the road on Friday, October 23 when they travel to Northeastern State. Play is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
