Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team hung tough with #12 Washburn on Friday evening, but ended up falling 3-0 in the contest. With the loss, SBU drops to 2-11 (0-3 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats were able to twice put up 20 points in a set (20-25, 12-25, 21-25) but didn't have quite enough to take a set from the 12th ranked Ichabods.
Lori Angello picked up a team high 8 kills, while
Anna Stuehm had 28 assists, and
Hannah Blount had a game high 21 digs.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 3 when they host Emporia State. Play is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. from the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar.
