Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's basketball team will have a quick turnaround when they host #9 Pittsburg State on Saturday.

SBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.
Lane Lord begins his 8th season as the head coach at Pittsburg State. Lord has led the Gorillas to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
Pittsburg State leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 30-25. The Bearcats claimed a 67-65 victory over PSU last time out in the second round of the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City.
Scouting the BearcatsSouthwest Baptist is coming off of a 79-61 loss to Missouri Southern, and are now 7-11 (3-8 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by
Dilonna Johnson who averages 11.3 ppg and a team high 3.2 apg, while
Megan Rosenbohm averages 10.2 points per game off of the bench.
Leann Terrill also averages 8.3 ppg while
Sarah Magana averages 5.2 ppg and a team high 4.9 rpg.
Scouting the GorillasPittsburg State comes into the game against Southwest Baptist ranked as the #9 team in the NCAA. The Gorillas are coming off of a 85-55 victory over Central Oklahoma and are now 19-3 (8-2 MIAA) on the season. PSU is led in scoring and rebounding by Lizzy Jeronimus who averages 19.5 ppg and 6.7 rpg while averaging nearly 7 free throw attempts per game. Kylie Gafford is also in double-figures for the Gorillas at 11.4 ppg to go along with 5.8 rpg.
