SBU Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host Missouri Southern

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist steps away from the Meyer Sports Center in Saturday for one road contest before returning home on a four-game homestand.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Ronda Hubbard begins her 2nd season as the head coach at Missouri Southern, and her 14th year on staff at MSSU. Hubbard led the Lions to a 19-8 record in her only season as head coach.

Missouri Southern leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 40-21. The Lions claimed a 70-56 victory over the Bearcats last season in Joplin.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 70-61 road loss to Lincoln, and are now 7-10 (3-7 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Dilonna Johnson who averages 10.7 ppg and a team high 3.2 apg, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 10.2 points per game off of the bench. Leann Terrill also averages 8.1 ppg while Sarah Magana averages 5.4 ppg and a team high 4.9 rpg.

Scouting the Lions
Missouri Southern comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 12-5 (6-4 MIAA) record on the season. MSSU is coming off of a 61-56 loss to Missouri Western, but had won four games in a row prior to that loss. The Lions are led in scoring and rebounding by Sharese Jones who is averaging 14.9 ppg and 7.4 rpg. Nicole Hartzog is also in double-figures for MSSU, averaging 12.5 ppg.
