SBU Women's Basketball Looks to Continue Strong Play Against Lindenwood

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home for a pair of MIAA games starting with Missouri Western on Saturday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Tony Francis begins his 5th season as the head coach at Lindenwood. Francis holds a career coaching record of 56-56 through his first four years at Lindenwood.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Lindenwood 4-2. Lindenwood claimed the last meeting between the two schools 94-82 in Bolivar during the 2013-14 season.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist snapped a six game losing streak with a 65-62 win over Missouri Western and are now 6-9 (2-6 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Megan Rosenbohm who averages 10.3 points per game, while Dilonna Johnson averages 10.0 ppg and a team high 3.3 apg. Leann Terrill also averages 7.5 ppg while Sarah Magana averages 5.8 ppg and a team high 4.6 rpg.

Scouting the Lions
Lindenwood is coming off of a 97-44 victory over RMU-Springfield after dropping four straight MIAA contests as they hold an 8-7 (1-7 MIAA) record on the season. The Lions are led in scoring by Kassidy Gengenbacher who is averaging 19.5 ppg. Jenny Rocha is also in double-figures at 13.3 ppg while Vanessa Zailo leads the NCAA in rebounding at 13.4 rpg.
