SBU Women's Basketball Returns Home to Face Missouri Western

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home for a pair of MIAA games starting with Missouri Western on Saturday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Rob Edmisson begins his 3rd season as the head coach at Missouri Western. Edmission holds a 26-28 record while at MWSU.

Missouri Western leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 32-18. The Bearcats claimed a 62-57 victory over the Griffons at home during the 2013-14 season.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a tough 66-64 road loss to Northwest Missouri and are now 5-9 (1-6 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Dilonna Johnson who is averaging 10.1 points per game to go along with a team high 3.2 assists per game. Off of the bench, Megan Rosenbohm averages just under double figures at 9.8 points per game, while Sarah Magana pulls down a team high 4.6 rebounds per game.

Scouting the Griffons
Missouri Western comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 7-7 (2-6 MIAA) record on the season. MWSU is coming off of a 77-69 home victory over Central Missouri after playing two oponnets ranked in the top 3 in the NCAA to ten points or less. The Griffons are led in scoring by LaQuinta Jefferson who averages 21.9 ppg and 3.3 rpg. Sarafina Handy is also in double-figures at 13.1 ppg, while Mhykeah Baez leads the Griffons in rebounding at 5.4 rpg.
