SBU Women's Basketball Travels to Northwest Missouri on Wednesday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will hit the road on Wednesday when they travel to Northwest Missouri.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Michael Smith begins his 2nd season as the head coach at Northwest Missouri. Prior to arriving at NWMSU, Smith spent the previous 5 years coaching at former MIAA school Truman State.

Northwest Missouri leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 31-23. NWMSU claimed last year's meeting 76-72 in Bolivar.

Scouting Southwest Baptist
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 72-65 home loss to Central Oklahoma and are now 5-8 (1-5 MIAA) on the season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Dilonna Johnson who is averaging 9.8 points per game to go along with a team high 3.1 assists per game. Off of the bench, Megan Rosenbohm averages just under double figures at 9.4 points per game, while Sarah Magana pulls down a team high 4.5 rebounds per game.

Scouting Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 4-12 (0-7 MIAA) record on the season. NWMSU has lost five in a row, most recently falling to Washburn 77-65. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Ariel Easton who averages 13.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. Tember Schechinger averages 9.7 ppg and a team high 5.5 rpg while Tanya Meyer averages 7.8 ppg.
