Box Score Huntsville, Ala. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team picked up their third straight victory on Saturday morning, defeating Miles College 3-0 to kick off the day at the UAH Classic. The Bearcats now move to 3-0, which is the best start in program history since the 2002 season.
The Bearcats made quick work of the Golden Bears, taking the first set 25-7, the second set 25-7, and the final set 25-6. As a team, SBU hit an outstanding .472 while
Lori Angello picked up 11 kills (while hitting .786) and
Payton White, Kayln Sotomayor, and
Taryn Marton all had 6 kills a piece.
Kelsey Fankhauser picked up a game high 32 assists to go along with 7 digs, while
Hannah Blount picked up 12 digs.
SBU will return to action at 1:00 p.m. when they play host school Alabama-Huntsville.
