Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University tennis team advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 for the second straight year when they defeated Arkansas Tech 5-1 on Tuesday afternoon in Bolivar. The Bearcats now stand at 22-3 on the season.
The Bearcats began the afternoon by sweeping the Golden Suns in all three doubles matches, with

Lani Tuemmers, and
Andjela Panovski/
Paula Carvajaleno all picking up victories. The Bearcats then received singles victories from Tuemmers and Zentai to cruise to a 5-1 victory.
With the victory, SBU moves to the NCAA Round of 16. The Bearcats are set to play the winner of the Concordia/Queens (NY) match-up on Wednesday, May 14 at 10:30 a.m. from Altamonte Springs, Florida.
