Emporia, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team won their second straight contest on Saturday, defeating Emporia State 8-1. The Bearcats now move to 14-3 (7-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats started the match off by taking two of three doubles matches from the Hornets. The doubles teams of
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai and
Mehak Singh/
Lani Tuemmers both picked up victories. SBU then swept all six singles matches with Varga, Singh, Zentai, Tuemmers,
Paula Carvajaleno, and
Zorana Jovanovic all claiming victories.
SBU will return to action on Thursday, April 10 when they host Northwest Missouri. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from Bolivar, Missouri.
