Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University men's tennis team has advanced to the finals of the MIAA Tournament with a 5-1 victory over Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday. The Bearcats now stand at 11-8 on the season.
SBU opened up play by sweeping all three doubles matches with victories coming from Kinal/El Kheshen, Cardona/Blodig, and Margiotta/Doering. SBU then used singles victories from Doering and El Kheshen to take home a 5-1 win.
The Bearcats will now face Northwest Missouri in the finals of the MIAA Men's Tennis Tournament on Sunday, April 27. Play is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. from the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
