Box Score 2 Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University softball team fell in a double-header to Central Methodist 4-0 and 4-2.
In game two SBU quickly fell behind 2-0 after the first inning before coming back in the bottom of the third to tie the game up.
Kacey Ayers led the inning off with a walk, and came home a batter later when
Amanda Smith hit a two-run homerun to left field to tie the game up at 2-2. Central Methodist broke the tie in the top of the seventh inning with a couple of solo homeruns as SBU fell 4-2. From the circle
Kacey Ayers threw 7.0 innings, allowing 4 runs on only 3 hits.
In game one, the Bearcats failed to get on the scoreboard as the fell 4-0.
SBU will hit the road on Saturday, April 19 when they travel to #5 Emporia State. Game one of the double-header is set for 2:00 p.m. from Emporia, Kansas.
