Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University baseball team fell in the final game of a four-game series against Central Oklahoma on Saturday, 3-0.
The Bearcats and Bronchos started the final game of the series in cold, rainy weather as both teams struggled to get runs on the scoreboard. The score remained tie 0-0 through five innings, despite SBU having baserunners in every inning for the first four innings of the game. UCO broke the tie in the top of the sixth with a run, and added two more in the seventh to take a 3-0 lead. SBU's best chance to score came in the bottom of the seventh, as they loaded the bases with only one out, but were unable to put any runs on the scoreboard. The Bearcats ultimately fell in the contest 3-0.
SBU will return to action on Tuesday, March 11 when they host Truman State in a non-conference double-header. Opening pitch of game one is set for 12:00 p.m. from Dodson Field in Bolivar.
