Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University baseball team picked up their third straight victory by defeating Central Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon 4-3. With the victory, SBU moves to 5-6 (5-4 MIAA) on the season.
The game between the Bronchos and Bearcats proved early on to be a pitcher's dual. Both pitchers held down the hitting, with neither team having a runner reach past second base for the two three innings of play. The Bearcats had a chance to score in the bottom of the third, but stranded the bases loaded as the teams headed into the 4th with a 0-0 tie.
In the 4th inning, UCO broke the tie by plating one run, and would add another run in the 5th to go up 2-0. However, the Bearcats responded in the bottom half of the inning. After back-to-back walks by

Spencer Blacksher smashed a three-run homerun to put the home team up 3-2. The score would remain tied until the top the 9th inning when UCO used an rbi infield single to tie the game up at 3-3. The Bearcats once again responded in the bottom half of the inning. After a Young single, the Bearcats drew three straight walks as
Jake Vore represented the walk-off walk to give SBU a 4-3 victory.

Spencer Blacksher all collected two hits on the day, while on the mound
Cole Roark threw an outstanding game by going 8 and 1/3 innings allowing three runs (two earned) with four strikeouts.
The Bearcats will continue their 4-game series against Central Oklahoma on Friday, March 7 with a double-header. Game one is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Dodson Field in Bolivar.
