Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team suffered their first MIAA loss in over three years when they fell to #31 Northeastern State 5-4.
SBU fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, with
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai picking up the lone doubles victory. The Bearcats and Riverhawks split singles play, with
Mehak Singh, Zentai, and
Zorana Jovanovic all picking up singles victories, but it wasn't enough as SBU fell 5-4.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, April 4 when they travel to Washburn to take on the Ichabods. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from Topeka, Kansas.
