Wichita Falls, Tex. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a big 5-4 victory at #18 Midwestern State on Wednesday afternoon. With the victory, SBU moves to 10-2 on the season.
The Bearcats claimed one of the three doubles matches, with
Fanni Varga/
Christina Zentai winning #1 singles, as SBU trailed 2-1 going into singles play. The Bearcats had a strong singles performance, taking four of six matches, with victories coming from Varga,
Mehak Singh, Zentai, and
Andjela Panovski as they claimed a 5-4 victory.
The Bearcats quickly return to action on Thursday, March 27 when they travel to #49 Cameron. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Lawton, Oklahoma.
