SBU Women's Basketball Travels to #13 Central Missouri on Thursday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will travel to #13 Central Missouri on Thursday for a game against the Jennies.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Todd Voss in his third season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Voss has compiled a 137-75 career coaching record (29-43 at SBU), and has made two NAIA Final Four appearances while as head coach. Coach Voss comes to SBU after spending 5 years as the assistant women's basketball coach at Drake University.

Dave Slifer is in his 10th season as the head coach at Central Missouri. Slifer holds a 169-97 coaching record while at UCM, while his career coaching record stands at 553-196.

Central Missouri leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 48-12. Southwest Baptist claimed the last meeting between the two squads 63-52 during the 2012-13 season.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a 73-58 loss at Pittsburg State and are now 9-10 (4-8 MIAA) on the season.

Brook Duncan leads the way for the Bearcats, averaging 14.2 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game, while Jacqui Zelenka averages 13.5 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game. Dilonna Johnson averages 8.8 ppg and 4.8 assists per game, while down low Mackenzie Skupa averages 9.3 ppg and Morgan Lucy averages 7.5 ppg.

Scouting the Jennies
Central Missouri comes into the game against Southwest Baptist with a 16-3 (10-2 MIAA) record on the season while being ranked #13 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Jennies are led in scoring by Keuna Flax who averages 20.9 ppg to go along with 7.9 rpg. BreAnna Lewis (13.8 ppg) and Shelby Winkelmann (11.2 ppg) both average double-figures, while Revonnia Howard averages 9.8 ppg and a team high 8.8 rpg.
