Arkadelphia, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a pair of victories on Friday, taking down Ouachita Baptist 9-0 and Delta State 5-0 to move to 2-0 on the season.

In SBU's 9-0 win over OBU, the Bearcats swept all singles and doubles play. The doubles teams of Mehak Singh/Lani Tuemmers and Andjela Panovski/Paula Carvajaleno both picked up victories, while Tuemmers, Panovski, and Zorana Jovanovic picked up singles victories. Fanni Varga and Christina Zentai both picked up victories by their opponents retiring, while Carvajaleno and Varga/Jovanovic picked up victories by default.

In the 5-0 win against Delta State, SBU swept the doubles matches while Varga and Zentai both picked up singles victories.

SBU will be back in action on Saturday, February 22 when they take on #31 Tarleton State and Henderson State with play beginning at 8:00 a.m. from Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
