Fort Smith, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team fell in their season opener 5-4 at Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Fanni Varga and Christina Zentai opened things up for the Bearcats winning their doubles match, but SBU fell in the other two doubles matches, trailing 2-1 going into singles. Varga, Mehak Singh, and Zentai all claimed singles victories, but it wasn't enough as SBU fell 5-4.

The Bearcats quickly return to action on Friday, February 21 when they travel to Ouachita Baptist.
