Olathe, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team played a strong MIAA Championship game against #8 Central Missouri on Sunday morning, but fell to the nationally ranked Jennies 4-1. With the loss, SBU drops to 16-5 on the season as they await their placement in the NCAA Tournament.

The Jennies were the first to strike in the 19th minute of play, but the Bearcats responded in the 34th minute of action when Karla Jamison shot from the right corner of the box and placed it in the opposite corner of the net to tie the game up at 1-1. Central Missouri would add a goal right before the end of the half as the Bearcats went into the break down 2-1.

In the second half the Bearcats were unable to get anything going offensively, and UCM added two second half goals, as SBU fell to Central Missouri 4-1.

Southwest Baptist will now await their seeding and opponent in the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA selection show is set for Monday, November 10 at 6:00 CST.
