Box Score Topeka, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell in a tough contest at #6 Washburn on Saturday evening 3-0. With the loss, SBU falls to 9-19 (4-16 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats fell in the first set 25-17 and then dropped the next two sets 25-13 and 25-10.
Hannah Blount led the way for SBU in the backcourt with a game high 18 digs, while
Kelsey Fankhauser had 22 assists and 5 kills. Offensively,
Mackynzi Gibson led the way for the Bearcats with 8 kills while
Lori Angello added 6 in the loss.
SBU will return to action on Tuesday, November 11 when they travel to Central Oklahoma. Play is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from Edmond, Oklahoma.
