Box Score Emporia, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell to Emporia State 3-0 on Friday evening. With the loss, SBU drops to 9-18 (4-15 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats lost in straight sets to the Hornets, 25-22, 25-18, and 25-15.
Lori Angello had a solid game for SBU, registering a double double with a team high 13 kills to go along with 12 digs in the loss. The only other Bearcat to record double digit digs was
Hannah Blount who had a team high 15 digs, while
Kelsey Fankhauser picked up 30 assists from the setter position.
The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday, November 8 when they travel to Washburn. The match against the Ichabods is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from Topeka, Kansas.
