SBU Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host McKendree on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home on Saturday to host McKendree. The Bearcats are coming off of back-to-back wins and will look to keep their streak alive.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiatily for Division I Drake.

Melissa Ringhausen begins her 17th season as the head coach at McKendree. During Ringhausen's tenure, she has led McKendree to the National Tournament 9 times, and finished in the NAIA Division I top 25 in four of the last eight seasons prior to moving up to NCAA Division II.

Saturday's game marks the first match-up between the two schools.

Scouting the Bearcats of Southwest Baptist
Southwest Baptist is coming off of their second straight win with an 86-82 comeback victory over William Jewell. The Bearcats have now evened their record out at 2-2. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Brook Duncan who is averaging 14.8 points per game and a team high 4.0 rebounds per game. Dilonna Johnson is also in double figures averaging 12.3 points per game and 3.0 assists per game, while Megan Rosenbohm averages 8.5 points per game and Leann Terrill averages 7.0 points per game.

Scouting the Bearcats of McKendree
McKendree enters the game against Southwest Baptist with an 0-4 record on the season. The Bearcats are coming off of a 80-75 loss at home to Lindenwood. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Caty Ponce who is averaging 14.0 points per game and has a team high 15 assists. Jameeka Bouie is also in double-figures at 12.5 points per game to go along with a team high 7.0 rebounds per game.
