SBU Women's Basketball Continues Road Trip at Illinois-Springfield on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will continue their three-game road trip when they travel to Illinois-Springfield to take on the Prairie Stars on Saturday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her first season on the Bearcat bench. Coach Keizer has spent the past three years as the assistant at Southwest Baptist after playing collegiately for Division I Drake.

Chad Oletzke begins his third season as the head coach at Illinois-Springfield. Oletzke holds a 13-39 career record at UIS across two seasons.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against the Prairie Stars 2-0. SBU claimed a 67-48 victory over UIS last season in Bolivar.

Scouting the Bearcats
Southwest Baptist is coming off of a tough 62-80 loss at #3 Drury and now fall to 0-2 on the young season. The Bearcats are led in scoring by Dilonna Johnson who averages 15.5 points per game to go along with 2.0 assists per game. Brook Duncan is also averaging double figures at 14.0 points per game and a team high 5.5 rebounds per game, while Leann Terrill averages 9.0 points per game and Alexis Edwards averages 7.0 points per game.

Scouting the Prairie Stars
Illinois-Springfield is coming off of a 71-65 win over Concordia University Chicago, and are now 1-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars are led in scoring by Caroline Kelty who is averaging 11.3 points per game, while Shelbi Patterson averages 10.3 points per game. On the glass, Syerra Cunningham pulls down a team high 7.3 rebounds per game to go along with 8.3 points per game.
