SBU Men's Basketball Prepare for Annual Highway 13 'Cat Fight at #6 Drury on Tuesday

Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats are set to travel to #6 Drury on Tuesday after falling in a pair of contests during the opening weekend.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his first season on the SBU bench after coming to the Bearcats from John Brown University. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 182-106 across nine seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Steve Hesser begins his 11th season as the head coach at Drury University. Hesser boasts a career coaching record of 223-79, all at Drury. Hesser also led the Panthers to an NCAA Tournament Title during the 2012-13 season.

Drury leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 30-22. Drury won the last meeting between the two squads 97-70 at SBU last season.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of a tough 67-68 loss to Minnesota Duluth in the final day of the SBU Classic last weekend, and are 0-2 to begin the 2014-15 season. Menas Stephens leads the way for the Bearcats, averaging a double-double on the season at 11.5 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game. Daymond Cowlah is also in double-figures at a team high 12.5 points per game to go along with 5.0 assists per game, while Robert Shaw averages 8.0 points per game off of the bench.

Scouting the Panthers
Drury comes into the contest against Southwest Baptist with a 0-0 record on the season after defeating Lyon College (NAIA) 75-34 in their only exhibition contest of the year. Drury was led in scoring by Kameron Bundy (16 points) while Lucciano Gamiz (13 points) and Cameron Adams (11 points) were both in double figures.
