Bethany, Okla. - Senior quarterback Willie Tindal finished off his SBU career on a high note in Saturday's 20-14 victory over Southern Nazarene. Tindal broke both the single season passing yards record, and the single season passing touchdown record as the Bearcats conclude the 2014 season with a 4-7 record.

The Bearcats jumped ahead early against the Crimson Storm on Saturday, eating up over five minutes of game clock in their opening drive score. Fueled by a balance of rushing and passing, Willie Tindal found Scottie Wilson Jr. in the the endzone on a 13 yard touchdown pass to put the Bearcats up 7-0. On the Bearcats next offensive possession, Tindal hit Bubba Jenkins with a 7 yard touchdown pass, set up by a 47 yard completion to Nathan Mourik, extending the SBU lead to 13-0. SNU would return the following kickoff for a touchdown, but the Bearcats held a 13-7 lead after a quarter of play.

In the second quarter, the Bearcats took advantage of a poor SNU punt, and excellent field position, when Tindal hit Tristyn Bennett with a 27 yard touchdown pass to extend the lead to 20-7. The Bearcat defense continued to play strong, taking the game to halftime with a 20-7 lead.

In the second half, Southern Nazarene cut the lead down to 20-14 with 2:33 left in the quarter. On the opening drive, the Bearcat forced an SNU fumble, which Tevin Brinson returned the ball 45 yard before fumbling himself, giving the ball back to SNU. SNU held the ball for 12:27 to start the second half of play. However, the Bearcat defense held strong for the remainder of the game, forcing a pair of punts coupled with a Brycen Gagnon interception as SBU held on for the 20-14 victory.
