Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats are set to open up regular season play by hosting the SBU Classic on November 14-15 in Bolivar. The Bearcats will host Southwestern Oklahoma State and Minnesota Duluth on opening weekend of the 2014-15 men's basketball season.
The Coaches and the All-Time SeriesSBU head coach
Clark Sheehy begins his first season on the SBU bench after coming to the Bearcats from John Brown University. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 182-106 across nine seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.
Bob Battisti is in his second season as the head men's basketball coach at Southwestern Oklahoma State. Battisti holds a career coaching record of 426-306 across 25 seasons after going 17-10 last season, finishing as the runner-up in the Great American Conference.
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Southwestern Oklahoma State 5-2.
Matt Bowen enters his third season as the head men's basketball coach at Minnesota Duluth. Bowen's career coaching record stands at 84-136.
This marks the first meeting between Southwest Baptist and Minnesota Duluth.
