Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 heartbreaker to Missouri Western on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, SBU falls to 7-2 (4-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Griffons played a tough, defensive game, with the Griffons netting the only goal of the afternoon at the 35:21 mark in the first half. SBU was unable to get on the scoreboard, despite outshooting MWSU 18-7. The game saw 18 fouls called, 15 against SBU, while
Cheyenne Forshey picked up 6 saves in goal.
SBU will return to action on Monday, October 6th when they host Northwest Missouri in a make-up game. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
