Box Score Bethany, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University team fell on the road to Southern Nazarene 2-1 on Thursday evening. The Bearcats drop to 0-18 (0-12 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Crimson Storm played a tight first 40 minutes of action before SNU broke the tie with a goal right before half as SBU went into the break down 1-0. Southern Nazarene and Southwest Baptist continued to play an extremely tight game, but SNU added another goal in the 71st minute as SBU went down 2-0. The Bearcats broke on to the scoreboard only seven minutes later when
Dylan Fieker headed in a corner kick from
Cody Martin. However, SBU was unable to to score again as the fell 2-1.
SBU will conclude the 2014 season when they travel to Northeastern State on Saturday, November 1. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
