St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team fell on the road to Missouri Western 3-0 on Friday evening. With the loss, SBU falls to 6-9 (1-6 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats had a hard time getting things going against a very talented Missouri Western team, falling 25-13, 25-16, and 25-15. Hannah Blount led the way defensively for the Bearcats, picking up a game high 15 digs, while Kelsey Fankhauser had 20 assists and Taryon Marton had a team high 5 kills.

SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 4 when they travel to Northwest Missouri. Play is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from Maryville, Missouri.
