Box Score Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team dropped a tight contest at Fort Hays on Friday evening 3-1. After falling in the first set 25-22, SBU came back to take set two 25-20 before falling 25-21 and 25-13 in the final two sets of the contest.
Taryn Marton had an outstanding game for SBU, giving the Bearcats a double-double with a team high 18 kills to go along with 14 digs.
Mackynzi Gibson was also in double-digits kill with 11, while
Hannah Blount led the SBU backcourt with 31 digs.
Katy Fitzpatrick added 10 digs, while
Kelsey Fankhauser had a team high 46 assists in the loss.
SBU will return to action on Saturday, October 25 when they travel to Nebraksa-Kearney to take on the Lopers. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from Kearney, Nebraksa.
